Dr. McDonald graduated from the University of Utah in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology. In 2002 she earned her (DMD) Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the University of Louisville. She is a member of the American Dental Association and a graduate of the Christenson Mentorship Program through the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry.
Dr. McDonald has been practicing dentistry in Yuma, Arizona since 2002. In 2004 she purchased Dr. Richard Geyer’s dental practice and has been practicing from this location since that date.
She supports 4H livestock shows and is active in the youth group at her church (the LDS Church). She regularly sponsors many local golf tournaments, including those benefitting the Special Olympics and the Spinal Cord Society.
All of her free time is spent with family, and usually outdoors. She enjoys boating, paddle boarding, scuba diving, riding ATVs and sand cars in the sand dunes, camping, hunting, golfing and attending NFL games in Phoenix.
Meet our Team
With a total of 23 years experience (17 years in Dental hygiene), my passion for Dentistry stems from a desire to assist others in the improvement of their overall health in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
My favorite pastime is spending time with family and friends. Off-roading in the mountains or the desert is one of our favorite things to do as a family!
Dentistry is one of my passions. I’ve been providing oral health as a Dental Hygienist for 13 years. I enjoy working with the community by teaching oral hygiene skills, while volunteering with organizations that provide hygiene to underprivileged children in Arizona, California and Mexico. I received my Masters Degree in Education in 2014 and now I’m working towards a bigger dream by becoming a Dentist in 2016.
I graduated and was certified as a chair-side assistant from Pima Medical Institute in 2013; and I have been Dr. McDonald’s dental assistant since 2014, providing people with a healthy and beautiful smile.
I do my very best to make sure my patients are comfortable and enjoy their time spent at our practice, and am proud of the way our team is able to meet the needs of each single patient. My favorite part of my job is the variety of procedures we do – because every procedure is different for every patient, and it keeps my job interesting. I love working with Doctor McDonald, because she is very knowledgeable and very caring with her patients.
When I’m not at work I like to spend time with my family and friends, and I love to watch movies. My favorite quote is: “A better life starts with a beautiful smile.”
I like being a Dental Assistant because it allows me the opportunity to help our patients achieve the smiles of their dreams.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling, as well spending time at the river on a boat, or with my family at the sand dunes.
I started as a Dental Assistant and have worked in the field of dentistry since 2010. With my experience assisting the doctor and 14 years of experience in office management, it was a natural progression for me to become the office manager when the vacancy arose. My goal is to meet, exceed and delight every patient, every visit!
I enjoy spending time outdoors camping with my family. I am a leader for a local 4H club and a member of the Yuma Rotary.
I have been in the Dental field for 9 years – 3 years as a Dental Assistant and 6 years as a Dental Coordinator. I enjoy helping patients experience the highest level of dental care in the most comfortable atmosphere possible. I take joy in spending time with my family, reading, watching movies and some outdoor activities.
I have been in the medical field for 6 years. I am new to the dental practice and enjoying the change. I love the patient interaction on a daily basis. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends BBQing, watching sports and traveling.
