Dr. Kathleen McDonald earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology from the University of Utah in 1999 before receiving her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Louisville in 2002. She is a proud member of the American Dental Association and a graduate of the prestigious Christensen Mentorship Program through the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry.
Since beginning her dental career in Yuma in 2002, Dr. McDonald has been dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to the community. In February 2004, she purchased Dr. Richard Geyer’s dental practice and has proudly served patients from the same location ever since.
Outside the office, Dr. McDonald is a devoted wife, mother of four, and grandmother. She is passionate about giving back to the Yuma community through her involvement with 4-H, where she enjoys supporting youth and volunteering her time. Much of her free time is spent attending livestock shows, caring for the animals in her barn, and making memories with her family.
A true Yuma local at heart, Dr. McDonald enjoys spending the winter months at the Imperial Sand Dunes and cooling off on the Colorado River sandbar during the summer. She also shares her home with two beloved dogs—a Great Dane named Luanne and a Standard Poodle named Rosebud.
Above all, Dr. McDonald is committed to making every patient feel comfortable, relaxed, and cared for. Creating a positive, stress-free dental experience is her highest priority, and she looks forward to helping every patient achieve a healthy, confident smile.
